Bob, you were my guiding star when I first arrived in Clifton College, you as my ‘block senior student’! Your passion for teaching and the ordinary working class child, your love, your humour, your immense personality, your kindness, your counsel in times of difficulty, your daily round of jokes, and that laugh of yours that brought laughter from everyone who heard it ( often at your own jokes). A giant of a man encompassing everything that is good and fair and right. So grateful that we reconnected, as if the time in between was minuscule. A friend for life and a soul as good and kind as ever I’ve known. I will miss you so much, but with a hope we’ll both reconnect again. Sweet dreams my beautiful friend.
